MalwareBytes - click here to learn more about what I think is the best program to remove and prevent your computer infections ! I’ve used this program many times to heal my client’s computers.

MalwareBytes Antimalware Installation Instructions:

1. If you haven't purchased the MalwareBytes software already then click here to purchase the software and once you have purchased the software at the end of your purchase a screen will pop up showing your user id and license key number. Print that page for your reference. You should also receive an email from Cleverbridge (the purchasing company for Malwarebytes) with this same information.

2. On the same purchase page or in the email you receive there will be a download link where you can download the software. Click on that link to download the software to your computer and remember where you saved the file named usually something like "mbam-setup.exe"

3. Go to where you save the file and double click on the "mbam-setup.exe" file to run the install.

4. Accept all the defaults.

5. Once the program is installed it should launch when it is finished installing

6. On the main MalwareBytes screen click on the "Protection" tab at the top

7. Then on that Protection screen click on the register button.

8. In the userid and key # fields enter the information that was given to you when you purchased the program

9. on the same screen under the scheduling section click on "check for updates automatically" and set a time for example I have mine check at 12:00AM and click on "run quick scan automatically" and enter the desired time. Also make sure that the box “start with windows” is checked!

10. Click on the "Start protection" button and your screen should now look similar to the screen below.

11. Next click on the "update tab at the top" and it will update the antimalware signatures to the latest. Note - sometimes this require a restart of your computer but most of the time it won't.

12. Once the updates are done installing click on the scanner tab. (upper left)

13. Click on Perform quick scan will be bulleted and click on the SCAN button

14. This might take an hour or so to finish

15. Once the scan is finished click on show results

16. If there are any infections click on select all or whatever allows you to select all the infections and click remove or Okay.

17. Once the infections are removed close the program down.

18. Restart your computer and do anther quick scan until there are no infections and restart the computer after each infections removal.

19. Once it shows on the quick scan that there are no infections click on the Perform Full Scan bullet and click scan. This will take several hours to finish.

20. Once the full scan is finished click show results and again select the button to remove them and then restart the computer and perform a full scan until there are no infections.

21. Once there are no infections on your computer after a full scan you are completely done and can click on the upper right hand X to close the program and it will automatically protect and scan your computer.

You can purchase a license and do the above steps for each of your computers and I’d recommend you do so to make sure they have no infections.
